INNER SANCTUM - Newsletters

INNER SANCTUM

Inner Sanctum is a quarterly newsletter that reflects the matters addressed, decisions made, and actions taken by the EC of the Community Association. Copies of EC meeting minutes are mailed to owners and posted on the notice board in the clubhouse. Inner Sanctum tries to elaborate on the background to some of the decisions made, and is also circulated to residents who do not receive the minutes. In this way all residents are kept informed about matters in the Sanctuary. The next edition of Inner Sanctum will be February at which time we will be approaching the end of the ‘Sanctuary Gardens year’. Our financial year ends on the 29th February and our Annual General Meeting will take place early in April.

The Executive Committee wishes you well over the Festive Season…

January 2017 - Newsletter

Introduction

It has been a long while between drinks for Inner Sanctum, but at last – here it is. The school break-up and Christmas period was the quietest in some years in relation to disturbances and security issues. Good news. The community Christmas BBQ lunch was held on 27th November. Thank you to all the residents who shared their good food and good company with each other and the committee. A similar spirit of community for the young at heart was evident on Halloween – 31st October- where quite a few residents joined in the spirit (Boo!) of the night for resident and local Westleigh kids. Being a Monday meant the masses of sugar charged ghosts were fewer than the previous year, but still 100’s of kids enjoyed themselves. The Committee trusts that everyone had a good break over the Festive Season.

December 2015 Newsletter

Introduction

This is the last issue of Inner Sanctum for 2015. (The editor is taking a break!). Your Executive Committee wishes you a safe, peaceful and relaxing Festive Season. This is the time to take a break, enjoy quality time with the family, and recharge your energy cells so that you can face the challenges of 2016. It always amazes me how our community gets into the ‘Christmas spirit’, with many houses boasting decorations (thank you so much), and general good cheer is everywhere. Our best wishes for the Festive Season.

August 2015 Newsletter

Greetings

We are experiencing one of our coldest winters in years, but the good news is that Spring is on the way. During the winter months your Executive Committee (EC) has initiated a number of strategic planning programs. These include a professional review of the Sinking Fund, an audit of the community trees (healthy or not healthy), discussions with traffic authorities regarding speeding, an alliance with the Westleigh Progress Association (WPA) to monitor the impact of the NorthConnex tunnel project on our residents, and much more. The EC has also completed a number of projects with the result that the estate is in fine fettle for summer (when it arrives!). Those activities that do not have a direct impact on you are not discussed in detail, namely the sand filters at the lap pool have been refurbished, sludge removal in the wetlands sump is in progress, termite inspection of the communal areas is completed, irrigation of the communal parks is being upgraded, non-working tree up-lights around the clubhouse are under investigation, and, and, and…

May 2015 Newsletter

Greetings

Our Sanctuary survived the wettest April (over 400mm) for 27 years, with a minimum of discomfort. In part, this is due to the ongoing hard work of your Executive Committee (EC) who tirelessly ensures that the Communal Area, comprising clubhouse, pools, spa, gardens, wetland, streets, tennis courts and basketball court, is maintained, manicured, and protected. All the rain has left our Sanctuary looking at its very best and I would encourage all residents to get out and ‘smell the roses’, or should that be ‘admire the strelitzias’? Inner Sanctum is a quarterly newsletter that reflects the matters addressed, decisions made, and actions taken by the EC of the Community Association. Copies of EC meeting minutes are mailed to owners and posted on the notice board in the clubhouse. Inner Sanctum tries to elaborate on the background to some of the decisions made, and is also circulated to residents who do not receive the minutes.
